3rd XI Player Profiles:

Name: Paul Butler

Position: Goalkeeper

Managers Comments: Paul is a solid and reliable goalkeeper who rarely makes any errors. Particularly strong at shot stopping he also brings a great attitude to the game and really enjoys his football.

Name: Jonathan Munze

Position: Full back

Managers Comments: Jonathan has joined the club this year and has proved very capable on both sides of the defence. He is a quick and powerful player who given more time could well play much higher within the club.

Name: Sam Parr

Position: Right back/ Centre back

Managers Comments: Sam has been at the club for a couple of seasons now and is continuing to develop as a player. Capable of playing both in the middle and to the right of the defence, you’re guaranteed 100% with Sam and he is a real team player.

Name: Tom Gramlick

Position: Left back

Managers Comments: Tom is another player new to the club this year. Again he has done really well since coming in and if he continues turning in the solid performances he has so far then he is most definitely here to stay.

Name: Shaun Mahoney

Position: Centre midfield/ Centre back

Managers Comments: Shaun has come to the club this year and has been outstanding in the level of performance shown. He has a great left foot on him and brings a real competitive edge. Already being looked at by the second team if he continues the way he has started he will be a real asset to the club.

Name: Michael Castle

Position: Centre midfield/ Centre back

Managers Comments: One of our under 18s who is playing his first men’s football this year. Michael has all the attributes to play a much higher level of football and has settled into the team really well. Outstanding in the air and able to play in more than one position he has started the season in excellent form and lets hope that continues.

Name: Aaron Watson McNab

Position: Winger

Managers Comments: Another young player from the under 18 set up. Aaron played some games for the 4th team last season but there was no hesitation in bringing him into the thirds this year. He has pace and trickery can play on either wing, all I can say is I’m glad he plays for us and not against.

Name: Chris Barthel

Position: Midfield/ Striker

Managers Comments: Chris has been with the club for a couple of seasons but unfortunately has been injured for the majority of them. Could and should be playing at a much higher level his technical ability is superb and if he can stay fit I don’t think he will be with the third team for very long.

Name: Jack O Riley

Position: Midfield

Managers Comments: Jack is one of the few remaining players from last years third team. He has been at the club for a few seasons now and continues to perform consistently. His main strength is use of the ball as rarely does he give it away cheaply and tends to pitch in with a few goals through a season.

Name: Adam Fitzgibbon

Position: Anywhere

Managers Comments: Adam is a brilliant lad to have with the team, his versatility alone makes him a real asset and his attitude is spot on. Can go past players for fun at times and also tends to drift into positions where he doesn’t get picked up. This could be a big season for Adam and he is another who the second team are keeping an eye on.

Name: Nilesh Patel

Position: Anywhere

Managers Comments: Nilesh has made the step up from the fourth team this season and unfortunately his chances have been limited so far. Another really neat football player who has worked really hard this pre-season, he will get his chance if he continues that effort and commitment.

Name: Daniel Stock

Position: Centre forward

Managers Comments: Stocky is the team’s captain and leads by example. Competes for every ball and is unselfish in his hold up play. With a run of games I am expecting double figures in the goal scoring stakes this year as well as he is undoubtedly a great finisher when chances come his way.

Name: Adam Mead

Position: Centre forward

Managers Comments: Another player who could have a really big season. Adam has pace to burn and has already given some defences a torrid time this year. He is another making a step up but when he learns to be a bit greedier there will be a goal tally to match.
