| Latest News Hale End Poker Tournament 2012 - Saturday February 11th 2012:
To be held at The Hurricane Room (Formerly The Regal Snooker Hall) in Highams Park. It will be a £10 rebuy tournament with dealer dealt tables and prizes for the top finishing players on the night. Please inbox me if you are interested, friends and family more than welcome but we have a maximum of 40 runners. Last year we paid out over £800 in prize money Book your place quick! AFA Keith Busby Award - John Brooks (February 2011) - Congratulations are due to John Brooks of Hale End, who has been awarded the AFA Keith Busby Memorial Award for distinguished service in Club Administration.
John has been with Hale End since 1971, and throughout that time been one of the most efficient and conscientious administrators any club could have. He is currently both the Club Secretary and Fixture Secretary, having filled those roles since 1991, and is also 1st team physio and Assistant Manager, as well as raising sponsorship, running a weekly newsletter, organising race nights, dances and many other functions, often accompanied by wife Joan.
His award was made at the club by the Chairman of the Amateur Football Alliance, David Dunn, accompanied by CEO Mike Brown and Life Vice-President Geoff Lence.
On behalf of everyone involved with Hale End, John deserves our thanks and congratulations. Hale End @ Wembley 2009 During the Community Shield at Wembley this season, Hale End had their name going around the advertising boards looking for players. This is part of the FA's 'play' scheme. 
Training
Training is on a Thursday evening, between 7.30 & 10pm. Initially starting in the park next to Wadham Lodge, we then move onto the Wadham Lodge 4G pitch at Wadham Lodge Sports Ground, Kitchener Road, Walthamstow, E17. Training is a major cost to the club and it is for your benefit. If it is not supported we will have to reconsider if it is needed, it’s up to you!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
